Berry Blue Breeding Program
MBG proudly owns and operates its own blueberry breeding program, Berry Blue, LLC, utilizing the largest base of blueberry plant genetics anywhere, to offer MBG’s member-growers and customers superior blueberry varieties that not only meet the discerning tastes of today’s blueberry consumers, but provides our growers with high-quality, high-yielding plants to grow on-farm profitability. The program is an ongoing effort between our genomicists, plant breeders, nurseries, field agronomists, and growers to develop varieties that will delight the consumer every day!

MBG Marketing is one of four grower-owner partners actively governing the Naturipe organization, the world’s leading marketer of top-quality fresh berries.
Brad Moorer, former CFO at MBG Marketing, assumed the leadership role of Chief Executive Officer from retiring CEO Larry Ensfield as of May 13th, 2022. The MBG board of directors selected Brad at the close of 2021 to ensure a smooth organizational transition in the new year. Larry retired after seven years at the helm and Brad brings his eleven years of MBG experience to the CEO position.
